Composition of our Congregation
Beijing is a global crossroads city. People from around the world come here to work in the business, diplomatic and educational communities and Capital Community reflects this diversity. Families and individuals from over 30 countries have attended or currently attend. About 150 family units currently consider themselves a part of our church
Beijing is a short-term assignment for most (average 3 yrs.) so our congregation experiences a constant state of transition. It’s easy to make friends because almost everyone is relatively new!
We primarily use English in our congregational gatherings, though small groups composed of members from a given country (native Chinese speakers, South African, etc.) sometimes prefer their native language in those settings.
Due to government regulations, our congregation is restricted to foreign passport holders. Our target audience is therefore the expatriate (foreign) community, particularly those living in northern Beijing near the International Airport and the expatriate academies in this area.
